Angelina

Angelina was born on a mountain slope in Canada.

Angelina, fearless and powerful, viewed the world as an
exciting challenge. She was inspired by her parents
to explore. She was able to scale the tallest trees,
and swim the ocean's depths.

Angelina was always fascinated by bald eagles. Her caring
nature compelled her to help them. One day she climbed to
where a huge nest was high up in the mountains. There she
would guard the nest for Elsa, the bald eagle mother, while
she searched for food for her young chick.

On another occasion she returned to Elsa's nest to discover
two chicks. One of the two babies was stronger than the
other, and was eating all the food in the nest. Angelina was
very worried. She knew that without her help one of the chicks
would die. She did not want this to happen. She decided to help
the weaker baby chick. She dove deep down into the sea,
brought up a fish, and fed it to the hungry chick.

Angelina understood their language. When they chirped, she chirped.
Together they made beautiful sounds. She wanted to learn to fly just
like the bald eagles. Elsa expanded her wings to show Angelina how
to fly. She was able to lighten the weight of her body, transcending her
human spirit and began to soar throughout the universe. It was then
that Angelina realized that she was gifted with magical powers!

Flying over the clouds, she mused:
"Why was I given these gifts, how can I use them"?

Diana

Diana was born in the Amazon to a family of warriors.

Fierce, majestic, kind and loving is Diana. She is the oldest
daughter of the leader of the tribe. Her father, a warrior and
Shaman knew that Diana had special powers. She possessed
the cunning of the wildest creatures, but also had the insight
of her elders. Her love of animals and compassion for people
was plain for all to see.

Diana's paradise is filled with giant waterfalls and lush forests.
She swims in the cool waters and climbs the tallest trees. She
even engages combat with many of the forest's creatures.
Jaguars are her fiercest opponents. They recognize her cunning
and special powers. Although other creatures fear the jaguars,
she connects with them. They know her strength and she knows theirs.

One day life in paradise began to change. The rain forest, her home
and the home of her animal friends, was being burnt and slashed by
outside forces.

Diana's father taught her how to fashion weapons. He showed her
how to use these weapons to fight the forces that were changing
their home.

Fearless and armed Diana forges forward
to protect the Rainforest, her beloved land!

Jillian

Jillian was an infant girl from Central America.

High in the mountains lives Hilya, a Harpie Eagle.
The landscape below is a place of great tranquility,
filled with trees, flowing streams, and sunny beaches.

Amidst this tranquil setting, a mother, father, and
infant girl lay sleeping. Above in a tree, sat Hilya in an
empty nest, grieving the loss of her baby chick.
Her lone chick had been stolen from the nest and eaten by a snake.

Hilya was feeling great sorrow. Suddenly she stood up,
spread her wings, and began to fly. Something told her that far below
was the answer. Slowly she circled the area, and
there she spied the infant girl who was sound asleep.
She sensed that this infant was blessed with special powers.
She knew that she could care for her and raise her as her very own.

Swooping down she picked up the infant girl, gently holding
her in her beak, and rising above the clouds, landed back in
her nest. She laid her down, covering her carefully with feathers
and leaves, and looked at her lovingly.

She named her "Jillian - Leader of the Pack", in Harpy tongue!

Carmen

Carmen was a child of India.

She is from a tiny village, where her father is a snake charmer.
With the fascination of a child, she watches the movement of the
Cobras - the upright posture, the extended head, and the slithering movement of their bodies. It excites her to imitate them. Her delicate body moves in harmony with the rhythm of the Cobras. As they dance together, they begin to bond. She feels their energy and they can sense her powers.

As a young child, Carmen played with the Cobras, jesting with them, along the edges of the streams and thickset bamboo patches. The Cobra babies vied for her attention, and the lucky ones wrapped themselves around her arms.

When they climbed the trees, she climbed with them, and when she ran through the streets, the Cobras slithered quickly to keep up with her. The people thought that she was in danger, but this was merely a game that they played.

As Carmen grew older her love and respect for the Cobras got stronger. She knew that people did not understand their secret. Cobras will not attack people unless they or their young are being threatened. They have a gentle nature, and in many cultures are revered.

Carmen knew that she had a job to do.
With a baby cobra wrapped gently around her arm,
Carmen stepped into the outside world.
What is her plan?
